Ardene Bullard OF LOVE Tournament and Fundraiser Relocating
Because of North Salt Lake Landslide
Tournament now being held at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center at the University of Utah
North Salt Lake – Aug. 5, 2014 – News of last night’s Eagleridge landslide in North Salt Lake is devastating for the families who have lost their homes or been displaced. We wish to express our support and encouragement to all involved.
We’re also saddened for our close friend and associate, Brad Ferreira, owner and operator of the Eagleridge Tennis and Swim Club, which has suffered extensive damage. Since the Ardene Bullard family started the OF LOVE Tournament and Fundraiser five years ago, Ferreira has generously donated his time, talents, facility and resources to ensure the success of the tournament and to help us raise money for Type 1 diabetes research through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). With Brad’s continued help, OF LOVE is now the second largest supporter of JDRF in Utah and the only tournament of its kind statewide.
Fortunately, this week’s OF LOVE Tournament and Fundraiser is able to continue with help from the University of Utah, where the tournament and fundraiser will be moved. With more than 140,000 Utah families impacted by diabetes, it’s important to us to keep this tournament moving and on schedule.
Below are details specific to the relocation of this year’s tournament:
